Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) welcomes you to Asia's biggest business of fashion event, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), for its Spring Summer 2012 edition. This season 131 designers from across the country would showcase their trend predictions for the season, including 63 designers on the runway. The bi annual fashion event returns to Hall No. 18 of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from October 8-12, 2011 and will witness 34 spectacular shows, and 183 designer stalls at the exhibit area covering over 100,000 sq.ft. With an objective to encourage and endorse designers to grow their brands nationally and internationally as also to widen their customer base every year, WIFW allows fashion designers to showcase their collection to domestic and international buyers, media and the fashion industry. The event benchmarks the trends for the forthcoming season. FDCI acts as a catalyst and provides networking platform to India’s finest fashion talent. Besides designers, fashion professionals from models, choreographers, makeup artists, forecasters, trend analysts, buyers and retailers, fashion and social media, congregate at the fashion weeks to exchange ideas and industry developments. FDCI’s initiative of organizing this mammoth trade event is supported by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, by facilitating the presence of buyers and media from across the world. FDCI is the premier fashion designers body to have its complete and focused calendar of trade events catering to all segments from prêt to menswear and couture.
